**If there is a positive covid case at CCCNS, the school will close for 14 consecutive days. Please have a backup plan for childcare in the case that the school is not open.
Please be sure to continue to follow the Indiana State Health Dept. Guidelines. If you have questions, you can go to their website: www.coronavirus.in.gov/ , or visit the CDC www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html .
If your child has a fever, they must stay home for at least 24 hours until the fever subsides. We understand runny noses are very common at this age, but we are asking if your child’s runny nose is accompanied by any other symptom, please keep them home until the symptoms subside. If your child is sick and their doctor has diagnosed them with something other than covid, they may return to school after being symptom-free for 24 hours. If your child only has a clear, runny nose, they may attend school without interruption. As cold and flu season progresses, we will be transitioning the students into wearing a mask outside unless they have a doctor’s note. Ultimately, our main goal is keeping everyone safe, which means that we can stay open. We will be monitoring local covid cases and continue to be in contact with the Monroe County Health Department as necessary to see if their guidelines have changed. We will notify you as soon as we hear anything that may affect your family. Until then, please continue the routine we have put in place for arrival and dismissal. Your effort in doing everything you can to stay safe and healthy is why we are able to continue staying open. You play an important role in our school, and we truly thank you for your continued effort in keeping all of our children safe and healthy!
